Where can a dog get a drink in Venice?

On Friday, Maggie visited the Piazzetta dei Leoni on the northern side of the Basilica di San Marco and posed for a snapshot like every other tourist in Venice under the age of 10. (Unlike her two-legged counterparts, Maggie chose to pose alongside the piazzetta's stone lion instead of climbing onto its back.)

Although the lion was considerably bigger than the meanest cat in Venice that had terrorized her a week earlier, it looked much friendlier, and it didn't bare its claws or hiss.

After fulfilling her photo obligation, Maggie spotted a trio of Venetian pigeons by a fountain at the wellhead behind the lion, so she headed their way to check out the acqua.

Maggie had left her CamelBak® hydration system at home, so she pushed her fears of psittacosis aside and paused for a drink.

Thanks to the energizing effects of Venice's fresh mountain water, Maggie was able to turn on the charm and strike another pose before leaving the piazzetta.
